They open the window in front of the fire is the result of my 6 week residency in Iceland. I created this installation from two drawings scribbled on paper. They are two female portraits that are decomposed. The influence of Iceland is unconscious, it slips into the colors and patterns, into the sculptural objects, into the stones hidden in the installation. On the floor, offerings and small objects evoke a past rite.

For the second year, the French Embassy in Iceland, the Alliance Française de Reykjavik, Artistes en Résidence in Clermont-Ferrand and Nýlo are organizing a cross-residency with SÍM.
An Icelandic artist is welcomed in Clermont-Ferrand and a French artist is welcomed in Reykavik.
