"Pure Brightness" is the third series in my healing painting project, following "Grain in Ear" in Beijing (2022) and "Autumn Equinox" in New York (2023). This series was inspired by my month-long stay in Reykjavik, Iceland. From the soft pastel streets and the quietness of the city to the cool coastal breeze and colorful skies, I encountered numerous peaceful and meditative moments. These experiences are reflected in "Pure Brightness", capturing the relaxed state of my mind and body during that time. As I continue this ongoing healing project, I plan to expand these paintings into large-scale 2D installations that encapsulate the unique qualities of Iceland.
