The project Preparations for the Extended Vision Program is inspired by the artist and teacher M. Mathiushin's (1866-1934) ideas about perception. While working at the Leningrad Workshop of Vkhutein during the 1920s, he developed a training program in order to achieve a visual field of 360° and also color vision during the night. I followed some of the principles of the training program in an attempt to reenact his practice and collected colors as a journal of my progress. Assembled in a watercolor painting on found paper, each color represents one day of my month-long stay at Korpúlfsstaðir.
