The paracosm, as a liminal and imaginal state, invites a deeper psychological discussion about the nature of fantasy and imagination in response to trauma. In its protective capacity, the world of fantasy functions as a liminal space—neither fully present nor entirely absent, neither anchored in the real past nor fixed in a possible future. I am interested in the intersection of these two worlds, interweaving memories, experiences and imagination, I aim to explore scenes in which reality rubs shoulder with an imaginary world.
