Multiple ancient cultures--independent of one another--attempted to classify the complexity of this planet in terms of the substances that make up her content. Water, earth, fire, wind and aether is what they settled on. We are using the same senses of perception today. This collection of field recordings and photographs was made at sites in Iceland, and documents natural occurrences representing each of these elements as they presented themselves to the artist.
