While drawing for my book about sirays, beings I invented, I also created small sculptures and objects which play with shape, color and texture, celebrate the myth of sirays and tell more about it.
As an installation I intertwined all created pieces into a weave — thinking of carpets, which are and have been often used as a medium to tell myths and stories. Every detail is important, every member contributes their own narrative thread to the overall connecting myth.
Like myths the strings are curious for more twists, for more pieces to close gaps, for new aspects and protagonists to arrive...
